HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT

GAMES  TO BE BROADCAST
ON THE INTERNET

Released:  November 30, 2005

The Proviso West Holiday Tournament has teamed with the Illinois Center for Broadcasting this season allowing fans to listen to live coverage of this year’s games on the world-wide-web free of charge.  ICB is a vocational school offering a ten month program of “hands-on” training in radio and television production; graduating students are also provided placement services.

“We are delighted to be a part of the Proviso West Holiday Tournament”, said ICB Director Steve Foltin.  “This association will provide our students with a tremendous amount of “real world “broadcast experience.” ICB students from the Lombard, Illinois campus will cover, broadcast and produce games in the first round and for all championship bracket sessions. Those games will be cybercast through the Holiday Tournament website at www.pwhoops.com as well as http://hiphop.beonair.com , the Illinois Center for Broadcasting’s internet radio station.

“The ability to work in concert with another educational facility will be beneficial to both students working on the productions and to our fans, who will only be a click away from receiving timely information,” said Holiday Tournament Executive Director Joe Spagnolo.  “This is certainly a win-win proposition on everyone’s part.”
