Football League (Saint Louis Cardinals, 1966-83; Washington Redskins 1984).
Dave Wehrmeister (Lyons Township, 1970)
pitched six years in the Major Leagues (San Diego Padres, 1976-78; New York
Yankees, 1981; Philadelphia Phillies, 1984; Chicago White Sox, 1985).
Five officials also worked the Proviso West Holiday Tournament and later went on
to referee professionally in the sports of basketball and football.
Ken Falkner, Ron
Olesiak and Marc Davis have
worked in the NBA, and Larry Nemmers and
Richard Reels both have officiated in the
NFL.
